Welcome to Lapinaite lab, focused on RNA, DNA, CRISPR biology, and genome engineering.
RESEARCH
Our primary goal is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying existing precision genome editing tools, and innovating novel DNA precision editing approaches that offer enhanced precision.
Our secondary goal involves exploring DNA and RNA modifying enzymes to reveal their significance in cellular function and disease, forming the basis for novel therapeutics, target identification, and their application in genome and transcriptome editing.
